This design incorporates Ancient Woolly Mammoth. Woolly mammoths roamed the Earth for 1.8 million years, until their extinction about 10,000 years ago. Unearthed in Northern Alaska, Canada, & Siberia, its unique colors are derived from the minerals found in the soil.
This unique Bob Merry Studios Ulu has an Ancient Woolly Mammoth Bone for a handle. The blue coloring in the handle and base come from the mineral Vivianite that is found in the soils around Alaska. The Ulu handle is capped with Walrus jaw bone and Woolly Mammoth bone.
The base is moose antler.
